EAST RIVER DUPLEX

A new and larger combined family necessitated a new and larger home. A five thousand square feet duplex was created by vertically combining two apartments high above the East River. Free-floating stairs connect the floors. The bronze balustrade, hand-forged in Austria, references the waves of the river down below.
